Didier Sylvain is more than just a transformational speaker and executive coach—he’s an artful catalyst for change. As the Founder of The Presence Project, he inspires individuals and groups to unleash the dopeness within without burning out or selling out. With a rich tapestry of experiences—from playing music to strategizing at Deloitte, and from teaching leadership at prestigious universities to providing transformative coaching across various sectors—Didier brings a holistic, creative approach to leadership training.
Didier credits much of his expertise to an apprenticeship with Adaptive Leadership pioneer Zander Grashow of Good Wolf Group. Since starting his own practice in 2019, Didier’s journey has taken him through media, entertainment, healthcare, education, and beyond, collaborating with impact-driven organizations like Lionsgate, Blavity, and the NBA Foundation. In every role, Didier's focus has been clear: to forge paths toward more integrated, effective team dynamics and personal growth.
Aside from the invaluable lessons of his own life experience, Didier formally studied Economics, Philosophy, and Music at Boston College, followed by a M.S. in Public Policy and Management with a focus on social entrepreneurship at Carnegie Mellon University. His academic background is complemented by training in Embodied Leadership, Co-Active Coaching, and sound healing, which he integrates into a unique coaching style that's as pragmatic as it is transformative.
A lifelong learner and a certified practitioner of the Leadership Circle 360 assessment and qigong, Didier's approach is deeply rooted in understanding the complex interplay between leadership and personal development. Selected for the prestigious Coro Fellowship and with doctoral training in Ethnomusicology from Columbia University, he continues to explore new ways to blend sound, psycho-somatics, and leadership development into practical, impactful strategies for his clients.
Didier Sylvain isn't just delivering learning experiences; he's guiding progressive transformation with everyone he partners with. With every session, workshop, and keynote, he commits to advancing global movements toward healing and justice, inviting all to create a just, loving world.
